Dr. Eftekhari is one of the few surgeons in his field who is trained with years of experience to utilize microvascular free tissue transfer. This is an advanced reconstructive surgical technique utilizing tissue grafts from different parts of the patients own body for reconstruction of the head and neck structures including face, neck, jaw, oral cavity, throat and facial and neck skin. This applies to both soft tissue, skin, muscle and bone to restore and optimize the best functional and cosmetic outcomes.

Microvascular free tissue transfer and local flaps can be used to cover and reconstruct wounds and scars caused by a variety of conditions, including: trauma, congenital disorders, cancer and tumors.
